About this place

About Amedzofe Village and Mount Gemi

Best for Nature lovers hikers couples quiet experiences photographers culture lovers weekend visitors

Amedzofe is one of the best places to show the softer, scenic side of the Volta Region. Set high in the hills at the foot of Mount Gemi, the village combines cooler air, mountain views, local walks, missionary-era history and access to waterfall routes.

It is a useful curated listing because it can serve several visitor types at once: hikers can climb Mount Gemi, slower travellers can enjoy the village and views, and culture-focused visitors can learn about the old German church and bell tower. It is also an excellent overnight or slow-weekend base if the directory later adds guesthouses.

Why visit

It gives the directory a scenic highland base and balances the headline waterfall attractions with a slower village experience.

Before you go
